I have contacted them for further information because as far as I can tell
from their web site you can only call from home.
This is how it works:
* You get a special broad band adaptor
* You get a US / Canada number in the area code of your choice (for
example 212 for Manhaten, NY)
* Enjoy!
Yesterday, October 17th 2004, I recived the Netvision kit for the
service they call Globy.
In the kit (a fairly large box) came:
- One instruction pamphlet
- One network RJ-45 cable
- One Motorola V1000 VoIP adaptor
- One Edimax router
Lucky for me i'm tech savvy because installation was not a brease
especially with the less then helpfull pamphlet which was not orginised
according to the order in which installation is to be performed.
After about 20 minutes of installation I was stuck, the thing did not
work.
I called the specialised support center for the service and found out
that despite the recent television commercials the support service at
Netvision is less then satisfactory, in this persons opinion.
After trying to call repeatedly for over an hour I finally got a human
response as until then either no one answered at the extension or they
simply hanged up the call!!
When I finally reached the support representative and asked why doe'nt
any one answer the phone for over an hour his response was that I
should'nt call during these hours because they are busy.
Please take note everyone - At Netvisions request do not call during
evenings or weekends if you want to recevie decent service.
No thanks to the representative I read the original booklet in english
from Motorola and managed to run the service.
Once running I can report, so far, that I am pleased from the service.
You receive a US dialtone once you pick up the hand set (may depent on
the way you connect the VoIP adaptor).

2) A tech. should install the hardware or decent phone helpdesk is
required.
