Singapore DOD switches to OpenOffice

The Singapore DOD (Department of Defence) has decided to switch its
stations, approximatly 20,000 stations, to OpenOffice.
This is a major blow to its main rival as this appears to be a global
direction, switching to open platform and/or freeware products.
