Jerusalem gets connected . . . to WiFi that is!

Starting on November 1st 2004, Jerusalem will offer free WiFi access to
random visitors.
The project was developed in conjunction with the city of Jerusalem,
Intel and Compumat developed the project.
Intel developed an unknown security measure to deny access to frequent
or heavy users so as to prevent local citizens to block the pipe line
and to avoid issues with Israeli ISP's.
The Internet is offered by the city of Jerusalem and the ISP 012.Net
The service will be available in major locations for about 300 meters
near the area.
